Marshalling for the SMRC
SMRC meetings normally take place at Knockhill. Details for individual meetings vary, but marshals are generally required to sign on between 7:15 and 7:45am at the marshals' building beside Race Control. Sign-on times for the forthcoming meeting will be posted here approximately a week before the meeting takes place. The sign-on process allocates marshals to a discipline and a post on the track for the day. A briefing for all marshals is held at around 8:00am before everyone heads out to post, generally for 8:30am depending on if it is a Club or National event.
Lunch is usually provided for marshals at SMRC events, and racing normally finished between 4:00pm and 5:00pm however on occasions it may finish slightly later. Marshals should ensure that they are adequately prepared for a day at the side of the circuit, facing all weather with extremely variable conditions.

Marshalling at the Knockhill BTCC Race Meeting

As discussed at the last SMRC race meeting, all officials wanting to marshal at the British Touring Car Championship at Knockhill will have to register for this event.
You will have to register as a marshal for BARC by filling out a quick online application form. If you have already done so please fill out the marshals availability form online.

Marshals Proban Overalls

Marshalling probans can by purchased from Rod Howat at a competitive rate of £50. Rod can usually be found in one of the SMMC Rescue Units at the majority of SMRC meetings. Please note that there are however other places where overalls can be bought.
